The subfamily of Cheirogaleinae includes the smallest living primate, the pygmy mouse lemur, which only weighs about an ounce (30.6 grams). Fat-tailed dwarf lemurs are the only primates known to hibernate, which they do during the dry season for up to 6 months. The diets of dwarf and mouse lemurs consist of plant matter, fruit and insects. They are all nocturnal? and arboreal?.
