Loroidea

Members of the Loroidea superfamily are small, primitive primates weighing less than 2.0 kilograms (4.4 pounds). They are found in Africa, India, Sri Landa, Asia and the East Indies

.

Members of this superfamily eat primarily insects and fruits, and some species also include gums in their diet. Their large round eyes are an adaptation for their nocturnal lifestyle, because larger eyes can collect more light in the dark hours of the night. All members of the Loroidea superfamily are quadrupedal?, but lorises and pottos are very slow moving while bush babies often move by leaping from branch to branch.
