Suborder: Prosimii | Infraorder: Lemuriformes | Superfamily: Lemuroidea | Family: Megaladapidae Family

The Megaladapidae family includes only one genus, Lepilemur, commonly known as sportive lemurs. They are folivorous? so not surprisingly, they are arboreal?. Sportive lemurs are very territorial. A male's territory will overlap between 1 to 5 female's territories. When sportive lemurs of the same gender feel threatened by each other, they will engage in displays?, vocalizations and sometimes physical fighting.

Sportive lemurs are nocturnal? and locomote by vertical clinging and leaping?. Generally, sportive lemurs are solitary primates but they will sometimes forage in pairs.
